Wing Screws

A screw having a wing-shaped head designed for manual turning without a driver or wrench. A greater torque can be achieved with a wing screw VS a thumb screw.

Type-D wing screws have stamped heads which are welded to the shank, where Type-A cold formed heads are permanently attached to the shank. Type-A cold formed wing screws give greater resistance to abrasion because of the case hardened shank and thicker head.
